We offer the regular CanSkate Program. Skaters are taught the fundamentals of skating in a group lesson format by a NCCP certified professional coach. The Program is designed for future figure, hockey, ringette, speed or recreational skaters. Participants earn badges as skills are mastered.
Skaters must be 4 years of age by December 31, 2016.
Our Pre-CanSkate program is designed to assist younger stakers to learn to skate. Participants learn to walk and gain balance to progress to gliding and then towards the fundamental movements on the ice.
Skaters must be three years of age by September 1, 2016.
Our Pre-CanSkate program differs from our previous Parent and Tot program in that parents do not accompany children on the ice.
In both our CanSkate and Pre-CanSkate programs. our NCCP certified coaches are assisted by trained Program Assistants. Our Program Assistants attend a training course each year to ensure they have the skills necessary to assist our Professional Coaches to deliver a quality, safe program that is also fun for the children.
Note that both the CanSkate and Pre-Canskate sessions are learn-to-skate programs. If your child will be four years old before December 31, 2016, even if he/she has never skated before, please register for our CanSkate session.
Pre-CanSkate is designed for the younger skaters, who are three years old as of September 1, 2016.
